Marketing Program Manager
Manage all elements of the ArtPrize brand. Strategize the long-term vision of where the brand is heading, define specific projects within the timeline of that strategy, manage and implement. Define the yearly event brand, manage an implement. Be the consistent touch point across the organization for the history and story of ArtPrize. Develop and manage marketing plan for each year’s event. Engage the "family" of supporters year round.

Education and experience
BS, BA minimum or some sort of education that shows an aptitude for creativity, and a degree that shows commitment to long-term effort.
5+ years direct experience as a Brand manager, Marketing Program Manager or equivalent role. Must have experience with public events, social media marketing and design process.

Project Manager/Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative functions, ensuring the office runs smoothly, and managing calendars, schedules, orderly meetings, and other functions. Responsible for calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, as well as consultants, to coordinate a variety of complex executive meetings. Ability to project plan including scheduling and tracking of project milestones, dependencies and deliverables. Work closely with the team to support needs of donors, benefactors and constituents.

Education and Experience
Education in business/communication/related field helpful. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two years experience as an office manager and/or administrative assistant in a highly professional, fast-paced corporate environment; customer service experience required. Experience/interest in working with non-profit organizations preferred.

ArtPrize Assistant Positions
Assistantships with ArtPrize will offer the opportunity for multi-faceted, hands-on experience with our internationally recognized event placed in the heart of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the fall of 2011. Opportunities will be project-based - highlighting the responsibilities that will be shared in each specific department/area of programming. Each Assistant will participate in three "Phases of work": research, engagement, and implementation. Hourly pay.

Help Desk Support Assistant
Position responsibilities will revolve around supporting end users on a large variety of ArtPrize event related issues. Responsible for identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email, online forums, and personnel requests for technical support as well as documenting, tracking and monitoring the problems at hand to ensure a timely resolution.

Education and Experience
May require an Associate's degree in a related area and no previous experience in the field required. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Graphic Design Assistant
Uses knowledge of current graphic design software to produce graphic art and visual materials for promotions, advertisements, films, packaging, and informative and instructional material through a variety of media outlets. Generates and manipulates graphic images, animations, sound, text and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs. Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization.


Education and Experience
May be working on a bachelor's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field. Familiar with standard design concepts, practices, and procedures.

ArtPrize Apprenticeship Positions
ArtPrize Apprenticeship opportunities are "Project based" - highlighting the responsibilities that will be shared in each specific department/area of programming. The goal of each apprenticeship is to give ownership over assigned projects while offering autonomy/flexibility around how to get the projects accomplished. Each apprentice can expect to complete three phases of work: research, engagement and implementation.

Minimum of junior level higher education or Bachelors Degree preferred. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within this particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Community or student leadership/programming background required for all Event’s Apprenticeships.

Weekly schedule flexible upon availability with an average of 20 hours per week until October 19. Must be able to support ArtPrize events between September 21 - October 9 as needed. Weekend work required. May count for academic internship credit with special arrangements. Stipend offered.

Community Event Apprentice
Projects and opportunities will revolve around the research, groundwork, and implementation of a special event (TBA) within the ArtPrize event. This apprentice will gain valuable experience in working with sponsors, the ArtPrize Team, community/local officials, as the driving force behind this event, as well as supervise a team of interns and volunteers for this major community happening.
