Corporate Spotlight: Amway

Amway volunteers work to make YMCA Camp Manitou Lin a better place for kids on the Day of Caring.

Amway has helped to build the West Michigan community through numerous volunteer projects with a focus on children. These projects show how dedicated the company is to offering children the resources needed to live, achieve, learn, and play.

Some of the initiatives Amway has been involved in include Day of Caring and Schools of Hope. For Day of Caring, volunteers from the company mentored GRPS students and enjoyed one-on-one time with them as they visited the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and Public Library. With Schools of Hope, Amway adopted a GRPS school where they helped students learn to read.

To recognize the company’s outstanding service, the Heart of West Michigan United Way awarded Amway the Community Builder Award on February 11, 2010.
