Hispanic Festival 2010

Join us on the Calder Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids for the best of Latin music, dancing and food on Friday, September 10 (Day of Caring) and on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Volunteers are greatly needed for this fund raising community event for the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan at the following dates and times:

Thursday, 9/9/2010: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Prepare the Calder Plaza, set up tents, signs, help vendors set up, arrange tables, etc.)

Friday, 9/10/2010 & Saturday, 9/11/2010: 8 a.m. - 12 a.m. (midnight) - Help sell Pepsi products, run beverages to sponsors, face painting, children activities, artist tent, etc.

Sunday, 9/12/2010: 8 a.m. - Completion (estimated time of 2 p.m.) - Take down tents, move picnic tables, load and unload Pepsi product to the Hispanic Center, arrange Calder Plaza back to original set up.

All volunteer should report to the Hispanic Center booth located at the Ottawa Avenue of the Calder Plaza to receive their tasks. Each volunteer receives one hotdog-chip combo meal per 4 hour shift.
