If your looking for many ways to volunteer, Urban Family Ministries is a great place to look!
As always, there are many ways to show your support of Urban Family Ministries by donating your time and money, whether it be an hour or a dollar. A few of their ongoing needs are:
- Drivers to and from our Cornerstone program are needed any night, Monday-Thursday between 4:30pm - 9:00pm. We provide the vans, you provide the time and valid driver's license. You will have some free time while the children are there.
- A few more Super Saturday volunteers to help with any or all of the following:
- Check kids in at the attendance table
- Listen to children recite their memory verse
- Drive one of our vans to pick-up and drop off kids.
- Spend time with the kids in the bleachers listening to the Bible lesson, singing songs, and playing games.
- Character Counts readers at Campau Elementary School are needed. Or you can come in on a weekday morning or afternoon to assist in various ways in the classroom. Commitment is as little as one hour a week.
- A few After-School volunteers are needed for Urban Club on Mondays -Thursdays from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Our time with the kids is dedicated to homework help, sharing stories about Bible heroes, Bible verse memorization, eating a snack, and participating in fun daily activities.
- Help tutor a 2nd grade girl in reading and math from 3:30pm - 5:00pm any day Monday-Thursday.
- Adopt-a-Family for the holidays by purchasing a gift for each child in one family.
- Provide a holiday food basket for a family in need.
