Thank you MI SuperFriendz!

Have you heard about the MI SuperFriendz?  This social media "dream team" has been working hard to build awareness and support for Heart of West Michigan United Way, especially among Gen Xers and Millennials in our community.

You may have spotted one of their shiny red Radio Flyer wagons around town, collecting books for Schools of Hope, United Way's in-school reading tutor program.  The drive sponsored by the SuperFriendz gathered over 5,000 books that will be distributed to the children in Schools of Hope.

Or, your may have seen one of the SuperFriendz' many Facebook posts, encouraging support for United Way, bringing awareness, or sharing photos from their super adventures.

Or, perhaps you've heard that United Way and the SuperFriendz were recpients of Business Review's  2010 Innovation Michigan Award for their unique use of social media to promote social responsibility.

For all the great efforts above and many more yet to come, the Volunteer Center would like to say a huge "THANK YOU!" to the SuperFriendz.  Your support of United Way and advocacy for social responsibility is super-awesome!

The SuperFriendz are lead by the 2010 United Way Campaign Chair Georgie Aquino.  Group members are:
