We Introduce To You: The Next Generation United Way

Heart of West Michigan United Way and the Volunteer Center are proud to introduce United Way's Next Gen group.

Next Gen is a group for young adults who are committed to the future success of United Way and to improving our community.  Through events, and social media efforts, volunteer days (known as "Hooky Days"),  the group works to support lasting change in the our community.

Mission:  To help ensure Heart of West Michigan United Way’s future success by encouraging young adults to give, advocate and volunteer.

Vision: To develop and communicate meaningful opportunities for future leaders to impact our community, and through this impact we will inspire all generations to LIVE UNITED.

Initiatives:

·         Identify methodologies to communicate volunteer, charitable and networking opportunities to young adults in Grand Rapids.

·         Communicate the impact of volunteerism & donations.

·         Build strategic relationships within the community that expand the reach of our message.

·         Plan and host events that create awareness for the future generations of United Way.
