The sun always shines on the Day of Caring, and today is no exception. What is new this year is that, for the first time, we used our new technology HandsOn Connect to help us manage the event. We are grateful to our pilot companies and agencies who worked hard to learn a new method of managing volunteer sign-ups.
As Grand Rapids Symphony concert-goers age, unfortunately many find themselves no longer able to attend performances due to infirmity or a lack of desire to attend because they have no one to go with them.
For students, college is a time for new beginnings and new opportunities. Why not make that new volunteer opportunities?! Through volunteering, you learn more about the community, meet new friends, discover your passion, and gain work experience.
